Kick off the run at 9am, then go from there!
The idea is to make a number to choose from! And all of them can be front or back or both
Also inspired for some summary text here
I ran a lap of the apartment complex this morning. It wasn’t too bad, but there were some concerns:
This is the route I can run that does not incorporate going through the east gate. It’s not ideal because it involves pushing open a door while running and then cutting across some (potentially soggy) grass but it’s surprisingly still over half a mile (0.56 on the charted path, almost the same as the other one which is 0.57). It does involve extra turns going through and around buildings so it’s less fun but still workable

For the distant future. Less practical than my typical craft but potentially fun. Be careful not to commit until the budget of both money and energy line up!

This motherfucker right here gonna change up my whole life haha
The one that caught my eye the most perhaps was this one (and it doesn’t look expensive!)
Buttons to sew, shoes to glue, added some more repair ideas for Q1!
I’m a little worried about the quidditch equipment plan. That might not be ready. But on the plus side my ideas for the custom quidditch referee cards is going well!
I wonder if I can sew a little wallet for them with a hook that lets you clip them to your shorts or something. Just a thought! The custom cards come first.
How much is “at cost” for these cards? Each sheet of card stock worked out to about 7 cents each, and can make 8 cards (according to the latest version of the plan where the cards are an 8.5″x11″ folded in half the long way then cut into four parts) but the laminator was also $20ish and the laminator pockets are $3 for 20. Plus the printer ink, though that doesn’t look like it will be much. So I guess selling 10 packs of cards for $5 will already break even? Wow.
Gotta work on those word clouds for the red and yellow, several different versions potentially though the ones I made at wordart.com are the best so just keep using that website!
Also one other thing, have to get new badges ready for karate! Wonder if I can make them myself. Probably just easier to order them.
Going to test out the route this weekend, making sure I can run a mile without dying. Still think Feb 1 is probably the best target date for the first quarter marathon.
Will need to find the fanny pack that makes listening to podcasts or music easier.
Should probably pick out music for running also.
Added repairs (sewing) to the plan. They’re easy jobs, I have all the stuff, I just don’t set aside the time to try.
Added podcast editing to the computer work. In case I haven’t gotten to it prior to then…
So it looks like if I run outside of the gates of my apartment complex and complete the loop that way it’s a half mile. So two of those is a mile (approx.) which means I have my marathon track! Sort of. Not really ideal to squeeze through the gates but at least the one on the west side I know I can fit through. If it’s not an easy squeeze through the east side then I’ll either need to bring my clicker with me or figure out another route.
I wrote down a bunch of plans while I was on the airplane over the break. Some of them are even good!
Here is a tentative spread of plans for the first quarter marathon:
And a couple other things that could be done (important to have more than the minimum!):
There’s so much more! Writing them down helps keep them from being forgotten.
Also as far as dates, I planned the first one for Feb 1, on the following logic:
Wish me luck!
