An ideal marathon (in the tradition of Beau Miles) includes no computer work whatsoever (he specifically says part of the goal is to “get away from the screen”) but my own life is inexorably linked to the computer age that I live in, so while my goal is to minimize computer projects, I will not reject them out of hand, especially if they also involve a non-computer component. Obviously the computer is also being used to plan all of these, so where we choose to draw the line is up to us anyway, isn’t it?
