RECAP & ANALYSIS:
I’m very pleased that I was able to get this project off the ground. I am happy that I got some things done, had the chance to be creative, and finally fixed the goddamn oven that’s been unusable for months.
Was it perfect? No of course not. My first run was cut short by burning lungs in the cold air (not quite asthma, though it threatened as well), and then by the third run I was pretty tired. I also miscalculated the stress on the body by doing this run on Saturday, then doing quidditch on Sunday, karate on Monday, and both karate and quidditch on Tuesday (it is now Wednesday and I am D-E-D dead). Future endeavors should come when there’s no quidditch practice on Sunday, or on otherwise open weeks/weekends (thinking about doing on in March but there may be other things that are also happening then).
Still, running 2.5 miles was way more than I’ve run in a long time by just getting out there and running. The referee cards were a success and the laminator is a ton of fun to use, and in addition to cleaning the oven I finished a couple other things that made me happy. The laminator also got me thinking about making a custom quidditch scoreboard. I’ve begun drawing up plans for it and I’m excited to roll it out at TSL :3
It feels like a success because of what it can be the prelude to. If I never do another one it’s a failure because 2.5 miles and 6 projects doesn’t feel like an accomplishment on its own, but as the start of a journey it’s a great start.
